Pierre, son of Monique and François Hugo was borne in Paris in 1947.

François Hugo - great grandson of Victor Hugo - after a long collaboration with legendary couture designers such as Christian Dior, Coco Chanel and Schiaparelli. set up the first artists' jewels edition with Picasso, Max Ernst, Jean Arp and Jean Cocteau. The "artists' jewels" were borne.

Pierre Hugo studied at the University of London where he obtained the degree of "Mastercraft of Jewelry - Goldsmith's Trade". He then, gave his goldsmith masterpiece to the "Ecole du Louvre" in Paris.

From 1968 until 1975, Pierre learned the gold "workshop secrets" from his father, and during that time they started editing together the different Picasso plates.

Pierre Hugo created a workshop for his own collections in 1975. And, to this day, he organizes different artists', as well as his own, jewelry exhibits, in France and internationally.

The attraction to creation and handicraft was constant throughout the generations. Pursuing the works of his father, Pierre Hugo remains the world's leading editor of artists' jewels.

His pens, which have been launched at Bergdorf Goodman, exemplify this relationship of creativity and craftsmanship. Designed by Pierre, for Victor Hugo's death anniversary in 1985, the pens are truly works of art.

Pierre Hugo's designs are to be found in Europe, Japan and now in America as part of the artistic legacy of the Hugo family.
